We don't need another Odoo configurator. We need someone who can sit across from a business owner, understand what's actually broken, design a solution that works, build it in Odoo 19 Enterprise — and use AI to do it all twice as fast.

Our primary delivery vehicle is Odoo Enterprise, and we serve clients across diverse industries in Malaysia and the wider APAC region. We are building a small, high-caliber team where every person matters and every contribution is visible.
What You'll Actually Do
Business Consulting & Solution Design
- Conduct business process analysis workshops with clients — understanding how they really work, not just how they say they work.
- Translate business requirements into Odoo solution designs across modules: Accounting, HR/Payroll, CRM, Inventory, Manufacturing, Website, and custom apps.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements — sometimes the answer isn't more software, it's better process.
- Prepare and present solution proposals to client stakeholders.
Odoo Implementation & Development
- Configure, customize, and extend Odoo 19 Enterprise to meet client requirements.
- Develop custom modules in Python (OWL/JS for frontend where needed).
- Build reports, dashboards, automated workflows — server actions, scheduled actions, and mail templates.
- Manage the full implementation lifecycle: scoping, configuration, data migration, UAT, go-live, and hypercare.
- Work within our deployment workflow (GitHub → staging → production) and follow our versioning conventions.
AI-Augmented Delivery
- Use AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) as daily tools to accelerate development, debugging, and code review.
- Leverage AI for rapid prototyping — turning client conversations into working specs and proof-of-concepts faster than traditional methods allow.
- Apply AI to data analysis tasks: cleaning migration data, analyzing client datasets, generating insights from business data.
- Build AI-enhanced features for clients where appropriate (intelligent automation, smart search, document processing).
- Contribute to BPConsulting's internal AI knowledge base and help shape our AI-augmented consulting methodology.
The trust part matters. You own the client relationship for your assigned projects — you are their trusted advisor, not just their developer. That means managing timelines, flagging risks early, conducting training, and delivering on commitments.
What We're Looking For
Must Have
- 2+ years hands-on Odoo experience — implementation, configuration, or development (ideally v16+).
- Python proficiency — you can read, write, and debug Odoo server-side code confidently.
- Business acumen — you can discuss a chart of accounts with a CFO or leave policies with an HR manager and actually understand what they need.
- Comfort with AI tools — you already use AI assistants in your workflow, or are genuinely eager to start.
- Strong English — written and verbal. Proposals, workshops, and client-facing documentation are part of the job.
- Self-starter mentality — in a small team, nobody is going to micromanage you. You own your work.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Odoo Enterprise (not just Community).
- Familiarity with Odoo 19 specifics (OWL2, new view architecture, website routes).
- Frontend skills: JavaScript/OWL, XML QWeb templates, SCSS.
- Experience with XML-RPC or Odoo's External API for integrations.
- Exposure to Malaysian statutory requirements (PCB/MTD, EPF/SOCSO/EIS, SST).
- Domain background in accounting, HR/payroll, manufacturing, or CRM.
- PostgreSQL experience.
- Bahasa Malaysia proficiency.
- Any cloud/DevOps exposure (Linux, Git, CI/CD, server admin).
