Last week, the Malaysian Spanish Chamber of Commerce was pleased to attend the JS-SEZ Executive Forum 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, where Economy Minister Akmal Nasir confirmed that the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone Masterplan and Investment Blueprint is now in place, guiding the next phase of cross-border development between Malaysia and Singapore.

The forum also highlighted the JS-SEZ's growing role as a gateway for European investors into ASEAN, alongside RM76.98 billion in approved investments recorded in 2025, a clear sign of the initiative's momentum from policy into execution.
An important development to follow closely for companies exploring opportunities in the region.
