Our History

Malaysian Spanish Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MSCCI) or better known as La Cámara was established on 6th July 2009, in the wake of an increasing number of Spanish companies that were setting up in Malaysia.


It was launched by a number of founding members, individuals, businesses and trade association with a diverse range of experience, professional expertise and a genuine passion for promoting Spanish trade, business, communication and culture in Malaysia. From the very beginning, these initial members had the support and advise of the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Kuala Lumpur, given that the purpose of the association is to become the official Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Malaysia.


La Cámara aims to be the preeminent point of reference for Spanish companies interested in investing in Malaysia, as well as for Malaysian companies willing to develop and expand their business in Spain.

Our Objectives

The objectives of La Cámara is to expand business opportunities to its members and to perpetuate the more than half a century old economic and commercial relationship between Malaysia and Spain.  La Cámara works hand in hand with the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Kuala Lumpur, which also provides commercial information and trade offers that are vital to La Cámara members in increasing Malaysia-Spanish trade and investment. 

La Cámara is an organization that focuses not only on fostering and promoting bilateral trade between Malaysia and Spain, but also on helping and participating in the development of Malaysia.

Board of Directors

Board of Directors that is diverse, inclusive and balanced with commercial and functional leaders from a range of industry sectors that represent members interests, oversee and make policy decisions with respect to La Cámara activities and direction with the objective to support member recruitment and retention.
