Our History

Malaysian Spanish Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MSCCI) or better known as La Cámara was established on 6th July 2009, in the wake of an increasing number of Spanish companies that were setting up in Malaysia.


It was launched by a number of founding members, individuals, businesses and trade association with a diverse range of experience, professional expertise and a genuine passion for promoting Spanish trade, business, communication and culture in Malaysia. From the very beginning, these initial members had the support and advise of the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Kuala Lumpur, given that the purpose of the association is to become the official Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Malaysia.


La Cámara aims to be the preeminent point of reference for Spanish companies interested in investing in Malaysia, as well as for Malaysian companies willing to develop and expand their business in Spain.

Our Vision & Mission

Vision: To be a central pillar for all issues related to economic, trade and industrial relations between Malaysia and Spain.


La Cámara will accomplish the Vision with the following Mission: 


To foster friendship, promote close and harmonious educational, economic, trade and industrial relations between Malaysia and Spain and promote greater understanding between the private sectors of Malaysia and Spain regarding the economic and trade policies and situations of the respective country.


To provide discussion and meeting forum for companies and business operation in trade between Malaysia and Spain, facilitate visits of missions by groups of businessmen, entrepreneurs, industrialist and technical experts, arrange for exchange of technical and general information in trade, investment, tourism, public sector policies and all other areas relevant to business relations between the private sectors of member countries and enter into fraternal relationship with other appropriate organisations with similar objectives.


To collect, publish and disseminate information conducive to the attainment of any of its objects among members of the Community.

Our Objectives

The objectives of La Cámara are to organize activities and events which will help promote Spanish products and services to the local market, establishment of information service and assistance that would be of help to the Spanish companies wishing to envisage business opportunities in Malaysia.


Other Objectives include:

  • Promote economic and commercial relationship between Malaysia and Spain
  • Increase the Spanish presence in Malaysia and vice versa
  • To develop commercial opportunities for our members in Malaysia and Spain
  • Promotion and representation of our members in Malaysia and Spain
  • To boost the existent relationship to improve interaction between Malaysia and Spain
  • To improve economic and commercial relations in both directions
  • Provide a channel of communication for Malaysia and the Spanish business community
  • Identify the problems that Spanish companies may encounter in their development within Malaysia
  • To host functions that allows members to discuss and network with Malaysia and Spanish officials and business communities
